The following dosage is recommended, unless different doctor prescription:
In case of constipation:
- Adults and children over 10 years: 1-2 tablets.
- Children from 4 to 10 years: 1 tablet.

the tablets are taken before bedtime, they will make their effect in the morning (after 6-8 hours of time
latency).

Gradually spreading catch, it was possible to restore normal bowel function. Before
using laxatives, one should try to fight against chronic constipation through
adaptation of food and thanks to a change in lifestyle. Use
Chronic this drug should be avoided. It is not recommended to use 5 mg tablets Bisolax
coated after more than 7 days of successive use.

Exam preparation
Can be administered an oral dose of 2 to 4 tablets the night preceding the intervention
or examination.

Cons-indications
Mechanical ileus and acute abdomen.
Abdominal pain of unknown cause.
Inflammatory conditions of the colon.

Special warnings and precautions for use
It should avoid chronic use of this drug. It is not recommended to use 5 Bisolax
mg coated tablets more than 7 days after successive use. If the daily use of laxatives
is necessary, look for the cause of constipation.
Caution should be exercised when heart failure, renal failure, increased
elderly and in patients who are taking medications that can cause
torsades de pointes.

Extremely prolonged use may lead to electrolyte disorders (hypokalemia), with
consequent risk of cardiac arrhythmias, and a "bounce" constipation. Cases of dizziness and / or
syncope occurred in patients who had taken bisacodyl. The analysis of these cases
suggests that they are not necessarily to be attributed to taking bisacodyl. They can indeed
be the result of defecation syncope (fainting attributed to the thrust during bowel movements)
or vasovagal response to abdominal pain may be related to constipation prompting the
patient to resort to the use of laxatives.

Bisolax 5 mg coated tablets can only be given to children on medical advice.
Laxatives not be prescribed to children only in exceptional circumstances.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction
The goal is that the tablets dissolve in the alkaline medium of the intestine. Must therefore
avoid taking the same time as tablets, alkaline products that can result
too fast dissolving tablets in the stomach (dairy products, antacids,
sodium bicarbonate, etc.). A pause of 1 to at least 2 hours between the intake of these products and
Bisolax than 5 mg coated tablets is required.
In case of abuse, we must take into account a possible interaction between diuretics and
digitalis preparations.

In theory, such an interaction is also possible with antiarrhythmic drugs and corticosteroids
minerals.

Since the risk of torsades de pointes increases with hypokalemia, caution is
advised in patients taking drugs that can cause torsades de
spikes.
